If you own a plane or maybe even a jet- you’ll love it here! Flying in across the Atlantic or coming in for a landing over the ICW- with the views of Cumberland Island and Amelia Island- you can’t decide if you want to land or hover a bit over this beautiful space! We make it easy to cruise right in and are working on even more ‘parking space’ to house our growing market for private planes.

Welcome to Amelia Island

Our landing strip: Built in 1943- The Fernandina Municipal Airport has grown and grown a bit more. The Master Plan has some very interesting designs for the renovation of the welcome center and addition of more hangers. Expected growth for the island and demand for small planes and jets is estimated at 2% a year. Time to grow again! Stay tuned….

Federal Aviation Administration Jacksonville Air Route Traffic Control Center in Hilliard, FL is only 20 minutes away from the island and employs almost 3,000 people- the largest employer in Hilliard. We have lots of aviation enthusiasts here!
